Door has a long history. It is said that the earliest records are those represented in the paintings of the egyption tombs, in which they are shown as single or double doors, each in a single piece of wood. The most ancient doors were in timber, those made for King Solomon temple being in olive wood, which were carved and overlaid with gold. The latter being always in some hard stone such as basalt or granite. Door has many different kinds. The ancient Greek and Roman doors were either single doors, double doors, sliding doors or folding doors. Then the bronze and steel doors exist.
So we have used the steel door since then and we
can think why it used so long. It is so solid that can
resist hitting and fire. We feel very secure. Also we know steel price is usually cheaper than other doors.
Now days as the rapid development of society, door has become a supernova industry, producers invent many different kinds of doors-pretty and hard.
